Description: The BCA-1 polyclonal antibody reacts with mouse BCA-1 (CXCL13). The antibody was generated using E. coli-expressed mouse CXCL13 as an immunogen. CXCL13, or BLC (B-lymphocyte chemoattractant, mouse equivalent of human B cell-attracting chemokine-1, BCA-1), is a 12 kDa recently-characterized ELR-CXC chemokine. CXCL13 shows high levels of expression in the spleen, Peyer’s patches, and mesenteric lymph nodes. It is reported to be the ligand for CXCR5. It attracts primarily B cells in vitro. Cell lines transfected with CXCR5 demonstrate both chemotaxis and calcium flux in response to CXCL13. Cross-reactivity of this polyclonal to BLC in other species has not been determined.
