Description: This Human OSM-R Ready-SET-Go! ELISA Set contains the necessary reagents, standards, buffers and diluents for performing quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). This ELISA set is specifically engineered for accurate and precise measurement of human OSM-R.
Oncostatin M is a pleiotropic cytokine that belongs to the IL-6 group pf cytokines. It is associated with bone formation/destruction, liver development, heamatopoiesis and inflammation. OSM signals through cell surface receptors that contain the protein gp130. Receptors for OSM can be found on a variety of cells from a variety of tissues. In general cells derived from endothelial and tumour origins express high levels of OSM receptors, whereas cells of Haematopoietic origin tend to express lower numbers.
